Description of Various Diseases and Nutritional Needs

Arteriosclerosis


Arteriosclerosis is a sign of aging,which is increase in severity as one ages.Before the onset of blood circulation disorders,there are ussually no systoms,but once the symptoms appear,organ functions are susceptible to damage,and arteriosclerosis itself is very severe ailment,so early prevention is necessary.
Other factor that contribute to arteriosclerosis are hypertension,hyperlipidemia,diabetes,excessive physical exertion,lack of exercise,obesity,mental stress,smoking,an so on.Once it occurs,the effected person will have high blood pressure,which exacerbates the arteriosclerosis condition,resulting in a vicious cycle.

Suitable Type Food :


1 - Wolfberry tea : Soak 20g of wolfberries into boiling water for 20 minute,remove residue and consume.
2 - Beneficial food :walnuts,oranges,kelp,sesame seeds,brown rice,pineaple,papaya,white radish(made into kimchi and eaten raw),wheat germ and so on.
3 - Wormwood dates soup : 20g of wormwood ,10 red dates (cut open and remove seeds),3000cc of water,wash wormwood and add dates.When the water boils,switch to low heat and cook for another 20 minutes.Remove residue and consume the tea.
4 - Fruit and vegetable juice : 200g carrots,150g of large celery,one large tomato,one lemon,wash all ingredients and cut carrots and large tomato in pieces.Cut the large celery into sections : remove lemon peel and cut it up.Blend carrot,lemon and celery and tomato.Consume the juice immediately.
5 - Heat-dissipating porridge cereals : 80g of grain rice,30g of loofah,30g of melon,50g of Yuba,15g of carrots,30g of mushrooms,15g of small celery,3 to 5g of coarse salt and vegetarian seasoning powder.Wash the rice grains,add 750cc of water and cook for two hours,peel gourd and slice to pieces,remove winter melon peel an seeds,and slice to pieces.With the exception of celery,cook the rice grains and other ingredients in an electric cooker till they disintegrate.Finally add in celery,seasoning and mix well.Serve immediately.
6 - Fruit Oatmeal : 150g of oatmeal,30g of raisins,one apple,five cashew nuts,15g of pure almond powder,10g of black sesame seeds.Peel apple,remove seeds and dice finely.Place all ingredients(except apple) in 1000cc of water to boil.After it boils,simmer for 10minutes.When the temperature drop slightly,add diced apple and serve immediately.

Type of Food to Avoid :

1 - Avoid cholestrol - rich foods such as egg york,liver,shrimps and crabs.
2 - Stay away from tobacco,alcohol and spicy food.
3 - Do not consume ginseng,because it contains substance that inhibit the breaking down of lipids in the body,which causes more harm than good for arteriosclerosis patients.
